M.i. Media have been shortlisted in the 2018 IPA Effectiveness awards for our transformative work on 32Red.

Doubling 32Red’s revenue and quadrupling its company value has been recognised amongst other outstanding campaigns in the world’s most rigorous and prestigious awards shortlist with entrants having to prove the payback of their communications activity.

Of the 38 campaigns shortlisted, 8 come from independent agencies with M.i. leading the charge. We wish all the teams success on awards night.

M.i. Media – 32Red: How marketing communications fuelled an online casino’s hot streak

Gambling business, 32Red, had an ambitious plan to double UK revenues to £100m in four years. It would involve adding more new customers in three years than it had in the previous 12, as well as growing revenue per player. Via modelling and smart use of data, a new strategy identified high value customers and delivered significant growth in new players through an effective mix of search, TV advertising, sports sponsorship, and content partnerships. The £100m target was reached one year early. 32Red was eventually sold for £176m, four times its valuation at the start of the growth plan.

M.i. Media is proud to launch Battersea’s latest campaign for tougher sentences for serious animal cruelty

M.i. Media are running a targeted social media and digital display campaign to raise public support for a change in animal cruelty legislation by the end of 2017. The social activity is targeting receptive audiences to this important message, which has been based on profiling of some of Battersea’s core audiences, as well as key audiences – followers of influential Twitter handles, keyword targeting around animal welfare, and relevant interest groups. The digital display activity was initially built around look-a-likes of the main Battersea site, but as learnings and data built across the campaign microsite, the campaign switched to targeting look-a-likes of those actually taking action and emailing their M.P., thereby increasing conversion.


The maximum sentence for even the most extreme cases of animal cruelty in England and Wales is just six months in prison – the lowest across Europe, the United States and Australia.  Battersea are petitioning to see this raised to five years.  Chief Executive, Claire Horton from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home addressed the issue recently at Westminster:


“We looked at 100 different jurisdictions across the world and England and Wales’ maximum six-month sentence is the lowest, lagging far behind countries like Ireland at five years and Germany at three years. It would be laughable if it weren’t so shocking.”


Battersea are hoping to generate at least 25,000 campaign emails sent to M.P.’s over the period and will be following it up with further activity in coming months.





M.i. Media kicks off Social Media campaign for Cruelty Free International

M.i. Media are helping Cruelty Free International launch their Social Media campaign ‘Unite for Cruelty Free Cosmetics’.  The charity are campaigning to get a global ban on animal testing for cosmetics around the world.  M.i. are ensuring that the charity achieves cost efficient email leads from a targeted Facebook campaign tested across Desktop and Mobile devices.


The campaign has got off to a flying start and has already generated more than 3,800 thousand sign ups.



Leger Holidays launches new DRTV campaign to give us post-Christmas holiday inspiration!

Their 30 second ad will be inspiring holiday bookings from the end of December.




Médecins Sans Frontières shortlisted for ‘Best Individual Giving Campaign’ at the National Fundraising Awards 2016.

We are pleased to see that Médecins Sans Frontières, an international relief charity, are getting recognition for their recent DRTV campaign by the National Fundraising Awards. The campaign, known as ‘Natalie’s Voice’, was designed to recruit new regular givers to the charity. The DRTV ad, recorded in Yeman, is a first person account from Dr Natalie Roberts to raise awareness of the situation out there and asks people to donate from their phones. Having planned and bought this campaign, M.i. Media are thrilled to see the results exceed forecasts by 28%!



M.i. Media appointed to carry out YMCA’s media activity

M.i. Media are collaborating with marketing agency ‘11 London‘  to carry out YMCA’s media activity across all relevant acquisition channels. YMCA is the oldest and largest youth charity in the world. Across England and Wales they have 133 local YMCAs working independently to support young people. We are extremely happy to be working with such a fantastic charity.



UNISON launch their ‘Champions’ campaign.

This week UNISON launched their ‘Champions’ campaign to celebrate public service workers. UNISON is the largest public service union in Europe. They ‘support, protect and promote the public services that keep our lives running’. The campaign is about raising awareness and allowing people to show their appreciation for the work that public service workers do.

M.i. Media have been working with UNISON since 2010 and are excited to be working on them with this new campaign, across Out of Home, Press, Radio and Digital media channels.

M.i. Media appointed to take on 32Red’s Paid Search activity

M.i. Media client 32Red, have asked the agency to take on responsibility for all Paid Search activity with immediate effect. The agency picked up this extension to their existing contract after conducting a 3 month consultancy project that resulted in the profitability of this channel soaring by 300%.
