M.i. Media – 32Red: How marketing communications fuelled an online casino’s hot streak
Gambling business, 32Red, had an ambitious plan to double UK revenues to £100m in four years. It would involve adding more new customers in three years than it had in the previous 12, as well as growing revenue per player. Via modelling and smart use of data, a new strategy identified high value customers and delivered significant growth in new players through an effective mix of search, TV advertising, sports sponsorship, and content partnerships. The £100m target was reached one year early. 32Red was eventually sold for £176m, four times its valuation at the start of the growth plan.
Kate Cox from the IPA judging panel was quoted as saying “A great example of using digital data to use a holistic communications approach that drove fantastic results for the business”

M.i. Media were delighted to host their very first digital speed dating event on Thursday 18th January.
The session brought together a number of our charity clients and media partners to explore opportunities across the digital landscape to support their campaigning and fundraising efforts.
In a fast and furious two hours of dating, and a clear charity focus, we were able discuss and challenge routes across Display, Lead Gen, Mobile, Broadcast and Data channels, tailored to delivering their specific objectives.
The speed dating forum allowed our clients to share experiences, increase their knowledge and act a stimulus for ideas that might not come to the fore in traditional media briefs. We look forward to exploring some of the ideas from the day further and putting theory into practice!
M.i. Media would like to thank Quantcast, MAPP, Conversant, News UK, Spotify, Ogury, Weve, Outbrain, DLG and Videology not only for their attendance but for the energy and enthusiasm they brought to the day. And a massive big-up to M.i.’ers Freddie, Craig & Sophie who did a superb job of organising and running the event
In an ever evolving media and digital landscape, M.i. are constantly looking for opportunities to drive sustainable growth for our clients, by maximising short-term performance and delivering their long term goals
If you’d like to join us for our next event then please email Jamie Hewitt (firstname.lastname@example.org). All advertisers are welcome, you don’t need to be an existing client and we can guarantee you both an enjoyable and informative afternoon!

This summer, M.i. are excited to be working with the UCL internship programme through their Management Science course. We have worked closely with UCL to ensure that we provide an internship programme that gives students a real insight into a career in Media Planning. As part of the programme they are fully involved in learning how to use our data analysis systems, helping out on client projects and meeting our media partners. We sadly said farewell to our first UCL intern, Anh, last week but are very excited to have two further interns joining us next week.
If you are interested in taking parting in an internship programme at M.i., then please email us at mailto:email@example.com with your CV and a cover note explaining why you’d like to take part.

M.i. Media is proud to launch Battersea’s latest campaign for tougher sentences for serious animal cruelty
- By Admin
M.i. Media are running a targeted social media and digital display campaign to raise public support for a change in animal cruelty legislation by the end of 2017. The social activity is targeting receptive audiences to this important message, which has been based on profiling of some of Battersea’s core audiences, as well as key audiences – followers of influential Twitter handles, keyword targeting around animal welfare, and relevant interest groups. The digital display activity was initially built around look-a-likes of the main Battersea site, but as learnings and data built across the campaign microsite, the campaign switched to targeting look-a-likes of those actually taking action and emailing their M.P., thereby increasing conversion.
The maximum sentence for even the most extreme cases of animal cruelty in England and Wales is just six months in prison – the lowest across Europe, the United States and Australia. Battersea are petitioning to see this raised to five years. Chief Executive, Claire Horton from Battersea Dogs & Cats Home addressed the issue recently at Westminster:
“We looked at 100 different jurisdictions across the world and England and Wales’ maximum six-month sentence is the lowest, lagging far behind countries like Ireland at five years and Germany at three years. It would be laughable if it weren’t so shocking.”
Battersea are hoping to generate at least 25,000 campaign emails sent to M.P.’s over the period and will be following it up with further activity in coming months.
